Founder and CEO: Robin Abello

Born and raised in the Philippines, Robin Abello founded Akubo as a tool to help non-profits easily grow and manage their organizations.

Currently residing in Maryland, USA, Robin also founded Percworks, Inc. – a technology company providing computer tech support, training and web applications development services since 2003.

Robin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University of Maryland and MS in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Dev Team

Our Development Team - composed of seasoned software engineers - ensures the delivery of quality services and products, designing enhancements that run smoothly. The Dev team is committed to making Akubo platform globally competitive.

Adviser for Fundraising : Mayan Quebral

Marianne “Mayan” G. Quebral is a senior Development Consultant who specializes in Fund Raising, Resource Mobilization, Non-Profit Management and Strategic Planning with over 3 decades of experience in progressive leadership roles. Mayan is a pioneer in fund raising and trained at The Fund Raising School in Indiana, U.S.A. Mayan raised funds for organizations such as UNICEF, Asian Institute of Management, Ang Misyon, Inc. and Save the Children, to name a few. Mayan served as lead consultant for Venture for Fund Raising, a non-profit she co-founded in 1999, to provide fund raising training, mentoring and research for the non-profit sector.

While at Venture, Mayan trained over 1,000 development professionals in over 24 countries. She also led gift giving motivation researches in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nepal, India and Bangladesh. Mayan has authored The Fund Raiser's Guide to Fund Raising and Fund Raising 101.
