Tell us about your career so far. What did you do before you came to Akubo?
I used to organize learning events for medical professionals.This involved planning logistics, identifying resource speakers and coordinating with attendees and partner institutions. 
What originally drew you to apply to Akubo?
Having taken a basic fundraising course after college, I was looking for an opportunity to expand my knowledge on this and gain experience related to fundraising and the development sector. When I started in Akubo, I also handled special events, which were also learning events such as webinars and seminars. 
What projects do you work on?
Each of our Advisory Services clients are different but common projects or engagements included strategic and fundraising planning. These plans focus on equipping clients with plans that will engage their stakeholders and support their fundraising efforts.
Tell us about a typical day at work (e.g. I brew coffee first, then answer emails, do a client demo, and write a report, etc.)

I start my day by checking my emails and then my discord messages. After this, I check my task sheet to identify priorities for the day. Throughout the day, I work closely with the Advisory Services associate to develop, analyze or conduct research based on our clients needs. Most days will involve slide development and report writing among others.

Knowing that helping our clients will help others.
What do you look forward to learning?

I would like to learn more about how to write compelling and impactful campaign messages.

What things are you excited about in relation to Advisory Services Manager / work, or life in general?

Personal growth.

Good time management.

The future.
