What influenced your team to use Akubo?
“Afte our fundraising training with Venture for Fundraising Asia, they mentioned that the database management tool they’re using is Akubo. Because of good reviews, we wanted to also try Akubo’s service”
Were there any specific challenges that your team resolved after the use of a CRM software?
“We started using Akubo last May 2021. Before that, SAO Philippines does not have an online database of its supporters. With Akubo, we were able to put it in one place and now gearing up in making our email campaigns to introduce who SAO is and what we do as an organization. SAO hopes that this will allow us to be known by more people and be accessed by our supporters.”
What made you choose Akubo over the others?
- Recommended and trusted by other NGOs

Tell us about a typical day for you and the team.
“I don’t know exactly what to put in here given that it’s been more than a year since this pandemic started. So, yeah. I don’t have much to say under this question. Though weekly, every Friday, we have our devotion time and breaking of the bread. We also share during that time our praises and prayer concerns both for work and for personal requests. It is also a way for us to cap the week as we welcome Sabbath or rest day.”
How is the working relationship between your team and the customer support of Akubo?
“The Akubo customer support is really responsive and we’re thankful for that especially that we’re new to doing these kinds of stuff. We believe Akubo is the best partner for us as we build our fundraising efforts from the ground up as they’ve been nothing but helpful to us.”
How far would you say has SAO gone since the organization began to use Akubo?
“I’d say Akubo helped us to take that big leap. And from here, we expect to progress more in our fundraising goals.”
